Berkeley Capital Partners successfully sourced and established debtor finance line for a dairy processor and vitamin extractor with significant export customer base.

Previously, the ASX listed dairy farm had relied on a single debt relationship for all facilities, which was not fit for purpose with greater specialisation of debt partners required.

In addition, Berkeley Capital Partners provided a significant amount of strategic advice to executive management and the board for the overall structuring and maintenance of debt facilities to ensure they remained in line with the company’s corporate strategy.

Facilities will allow for significant de-risking of revenues via hedging and letters of credit with major dairy retailers in the region.

Retail Prodigy Group

Berkeley Capital successfully facilitated the LBO of APAC retailer Retail Prodigy Group with exclusive rights to distribute Nike apparel and Samsung products in the ANZ region.

A lack of property security required Berkeley to thoroughly understand the working capital cycle and supplier terms for the most appropriate facility structure. After the execution of the LBO, negotiations are now under way to negotiate an exit to a large multinational retailer.

Property leases have since been extended with stronger asset backing from new owners, unlocking opportunities for deeper investments in store renovations and customer experience improvements.

A longstanding client engaged Berkeley Capital to tender for a JV capital partner opportunity, acquiring redeveloping a landmark CBD hospitality property whilst owning the leasehold interest.

After a detailed tender process with a number of potential partners, a Hong-Kong based investment fund was selected to provide a first mortgage facility to effect the acquisition and construction of 66 hotel rooms within a heritage listed building.

Client has maintained control over the scope and design of the development whilst also retaining their equity interest in the property.

BCP assisted with the selection of specialist hotel manager UME with a management agreement agreed to operate the 66 hotel rooms.
